Who’s name is on the title? Insurance will place the ‘named insured’ as the title holder.
If it is in her name, she MUST be listed on the policy. Since you are married, you can both be listed as named insureds, or she can be the primary insured, and you can be listed as driver only.
Policies differ from agency to agency. The only way to find this out is to make visitation w/ them face to face. But, I’d say yes. Because as long as the car is insured and the primary driver (you) is listed, then I should think you’d be ok. All they really want is your money and business. Your wife may have to be listed as secondary driver. As long as one of the owners appears in the policy then I think you’d be safe there. G’day!
