What is a great website to demeanour for used cars?

I’m seeking in to removing my initial car, I’m sixteen years old. I’m vehement about this, though I’m not starting to lie, we do not have a smallest idea what to demeanour for or where to demeanour for it. :) Help?

Autotrader is a good one in some locations. In some areas, it has nothing but dealers, and usually shitty ones. If you’re looking for a cheap car, you don’t want to bother with dealers (there may be some alright deals on late-model cars though).

Craigslist usually has a lot more private sellers.

Since I presume you’re looking for an inexpensive car, also check:
local park-and-sell lots (look in your yellow pages)…that’s not a dealer, that’s a lot where people park their cars to sell to buyers directly.
community bulletin boards (like at supermarkets or on college campuses, where people post flyers)
    newspaper classifieds
    local/regional auto classified magazines
    penny-saver papers
big-box retail parking lots (in some towns, people park cars for sale near the road in these lots)

Generally speaking, you’re looking for the lowest mileage you can afford. Most of your best options are Japanese. (The only completely safe makes are Honda/Acura, and Toyota/Lexus/Scion…other than that, every automaker has at least one model to avoid) But there are some good American and European cars out there for a new driver, too. Any car you consider, check it out at:

Also get a 30 day Carfax account and check the history of any vehicle you consider. It is worth every penny.

Unless you’re only bidding on LOCAL cars that you have seen in person, or you can afford to lose every penny you spend on a car, Ebay is not a good idea. It’s well-suited to trading in rare cars where demand is spread out thinly across the country. It isn’t so great for looking for a daily driver.
